PyUGAT presents: OpenStack

The next meeting of the Python User Group Austria (PyUGAT) will take place Sunday, February 24rd, 2013 around 6 p.m. at the Metalab in Vienna (how to get there).

The Agenda for this evening can be found in our wiki. For this meetup we have a special feature:

OpenStack is open source software for building public and private clouds. It provides components for computing, storage, networking and management, reaching from the nitty-gritty details of running a cloud all the way to the end user interface.

Why do we care? Because OpenStack is written in Python!

For this special meetup of the Python User Group Austria, we have invited a guest speaker who will tell us more about the details of this project.

If you happen to be in or around Vienna on Sunday, come and join us at the Metalab!

You can also follow us on Twitter, Identica and Meetup for up-to-date news. You can find logs of our previous meetings on our website.

See you on Sunday!

Leipzig Python User Group, Next Meeting Tuesday, February 12, 2013

We will meet on February 12,  2013, 8:00 pm at the training center of Python Academy in Leipzig, Germany (How to find us).

Mike Müller will talk about IPython and especially the the new IPython notebook. IPython is a greatly enhanced alternative to the interactive Python prompt. The notebook allows to create interactive documents in a browser with markdown, Python code and matplotlib graphics. Even though IPython is traditionally only widely used among scientists, it offers interesting opportunities for all Python users.

Everybody who uses Python, plans to do so or is interested in learning more about the language is encouraged to participate.

While the meeting language will be mainly German, English speakers are very welcome. We will provide English interpretation if needed.
Food and soft drinks are provided. Please send a short confirmation mail to info@python-academy.de, so we can prepare appropriately.

The dates of our next meetings can be found in our calendar.
Information about meetings can also be found on our mailing list.
